Cool Learning how it goes...

Well, this week started with a bang. I turned down a placement that was out of our age range, was a backup for a newborn that went elsewhere and then came the call I thought was "it". Pulled out my infant stuff, cleaned bottles, got formula and diapers...and plans changed at the very last minute. Guess the lesson of the week is not to believe it until it actually happens. Oh well...I trust it will happen when it's meant to be but my hopes did get up today.

This is definitely a difficult path with excitement and disappointment that can come in one instant and the other in the next! There's a call coming your way with the right placement, its just not in your time, its in their time...

Good luck!

I have to but my 2 cents in an agree. A few weeks ago I was not sure on if I wanted to accept a possible adoptive situation. We decided to turn the placement down and it just seems like we are back to where we were 6 months ago,no calls nothing. The frustration is starting to build up again.

Last week I got recertified and I am thinking, for what another 6 months of doing nothing .
A personal friend of mine who is with another agency told me the last few weeks with her agency has been busy with children of all ages, especially the younger ones. Which IS MAKING ME FEEL WORSE!!!

Then I must come back down to reality and remember it is not about me,but about the children and at the right time it will happen. I just wish that it was sooner, instead of later.
