How is everyone?

It has been awhile since there was posting on this forum. How is everyone doing? I had an exciting summer, yet I still do not have a placement. I am hopeful that things will happen for me very soon though.

So has anyone here had any placements, respites, calls or anything?

I had a near placement but we sadly had to decline. It was a hard decision but in the end one that I am sure will work out better for all involved. It still hurts however.

I also have been having my low moments because it was a year since today that my 1st and only foster children came to me and it is also 6 months since they left....funny, seems like yesterday ...........

Anyway, I am hoping that my phone rings really soon .....

Hi 7brats,

We have a "surprise" ... we are in pursuit of a preadoptive placement. She's 17 and we only became interested because she's with our agency and has some medical needs that we felt we could support. We got to meet her at an agency event last night and got along really well! We're hoping to start visits really soon. We weren't actively matching as you know and we won't be doing respite, as we will now be full.

Hopefully the right call comes along soon!!!!

Wow,we were also at that event!!! It was a lot of fun I saw a lot of interesting children and we also saw one we were interested in,well actually 2 or 3 .

We are deciding with the family which would think would be a better match.

I am so happy that you have found a new placement

Hopefully I will also have some good news.

Congrats to you

hi to everyone from me too !!!!

we have had a crazy, emotional week at our house. Our 3 month old baby boy was placed in kinship care with his grandparents on fri the 28th.His grandparents are awesome and they have called us 2 times already and brought him to see us. Then saturday the 29th we accepted a 3 yo boy who i fell in love with in minutes. Then on Tuesday the 1st we were blessed to have a beautiful 8 month old baby boy placed with us. then thursday the 3rd our 3 yo was placed back with his daddy. I am going back and forth being so happy and sad at the same time. I miss my boys like crazy, but am so excited to have our new little baby with us. Good luck to all of you waiting placement. all my prayers.
