Question how long from start to finish?

I was just hoping to hear from some people in western pa, how long did it take from your first meeting until you were able to take in kids, and how long did you have to wait after that for a placement?

ours took about 3 months till we were done with the training, homestudy, clearances. we got a call within a week and have had kids since. now our agency is claiming they can get it done in a month, about halfway through the training they send someone out to start the homestudy, if you do clearances first by the time your'e done they are usually in.

We are from NEPA but I'm sure most will agree that
it depends on many factors.
We started the process the end of Feb 2008 and officially
licensed (put on active list) last week (Thursday Aug 28th)
We had our first call that same day !!
It took us a bit longer to get licensed because of some
medical issues on my side (I'm a disabled veteran) that
needed clarification. Originally we were told it would take about 2 months from start to finish.

Hope this helps

We started the process in Nov 06 and were approved june 07, but we didn't russ we wanted to take our time. So it depends on how fast you move and get your things done. The agency we were working with really wanted to get us approved because if you wait to long you have to do some of the classes over. We got a call the same week but my husband was not ready, he wanted to wait till the fall. In the fall we got a call for a 2,9 month ,and baby on the way and here we are. We will be getting another baby out of the hosp in may.
