Help to Offer (she says humbly)
Hi, I'm new to this board, and am a 16 yr. veteran of treatment level foster care. As of three years ago, I moved on to my present job, which is a treatment (therapeutic) foster home developer/trainer. I'm here because I believe I have a lot to offer in terms of experience. I'm willing to give my opinions to anyone who wishes to ask for them! I'd also love to share stories, too. I've got some doozies. Please respond!

My hubby and I are just about ready to be approved (hopefully) for foster care. We will be willing to take children with behaviors and sibling groups. Any advice?

My son was placed with us out of therapeutic level foster care. We are now in the process of looking for a girl to complete our family. We have an interview this week for an 8yr old girl.
Where you located skyewriter10? Im in Dauphin county (Harrisburg).

do you work with Dauphin County or a private agency? I had 2 adorable little boys from Dauphin county.I was also being considered for an adoptive placement in Dauphin County. I strongly dislike working with Dauphin county.

Im with a private agency. Most of my placements have been kids from other than Dauphin county. My only experience was with the 2 sisters I had and my opinion is that the county stinks.
The preadoptive placement we were supposed to be interviewed for was out of Reading. The interview was canceled as they selected the first family they interviewed. (They were only going to interview 2, that one and us).
