Is my foster license = to adoption license?

If I'm approved for foster care are we also approved for adoption? When I filled out our criminal history sheets, I did two, one w/ the foster care box checked and one w/ the adoption box checked. I think they're the same because we got both back and they read the same.

Can I apply to other counties and states about children avail for adoption?

If the license is not the same, what is the difference?

You need to have an adoption homestudy. Usually you can get the same social worker to do it for you, but it is different.

Also make sure that the training you attended and all the other paperwork you did is to meet the adoption requirements, not just the foster. With our agency, when we did everything, everyone in the class whether they were only foster, only adopt or fost to adopt, were all licensed to do all three.
