foster care rate
it really depends on the agency. I was with a referral agency and got $22.50 a day.

I have to agree that it depends on the agency, but it can also depend on the age of the child/children. I am currently fostering a 6 yr old through my county and get a shelter care fee of $16.30 a day. I also receive periodic payments of around $70 for clothes (possibly 2 times a yr?), a small misc./personal fee, and he can receive free lunches at school (although he prefers to pack!
The last I knew, though, my county at least acknowledges that room and board costs are higher for babies, for example. They're still in diapers, may need formula, and outgrow clothes sooner.Well, I'm not sure this helps but it's the only info I have. Becky |
