are ANY birth mothers looking in this forum?

I see a ton of people looking for their birth mothers with no reply.
Is this a waste of time or what?
Are any birth mothers out there looking for their kids?
Honestly I think I am a product of Woodstock personally but that is a guess.
I dont want to sit here and think, well maybe someone will happen into this forum that has had a baby boy born on same date as me and email me when it wont.
I know it takes a lot of time no doubt but all these people in this state alone let alone other states with no replies at all.

Is this a waste of time?

Jason

Sort of makes sense.
But why is there no big monster list that is easily searched?
say tens of thousands of adoptees put up their information in a single database
age, sex, location, birth year
then we all might be doing some helpful searches, not this throw a dart into the darkness and hope that you hit something.
With how the computer age is upon us, a single database could hold these records and people on the net could simply put in their information and be able to get answers not this shot in the dark stuff.
Sorry im just frusterated cause of all of this
Jason

agree with jayl13 last comment

I was kinda thinking the same thing as I scanned back pages and pages to see if anything stood out. Why can't it be set up that in the search window you plug in a name, date, state, or something and it all gets gets cross-referenced and anything within those parameters comes up-- then you at least know hours sooner if it's a dead end search and can try something else.

But that would be way to easy...To just have one big database now wouldn`t it....I know your frustration I have been there and I am there again, Yes I wish it could be so easy, maybe one day!

Are any Birthmothers looking

Jay:
Yes, we are looking. I've read a lot of messages from Birthmothers. I must say, many of the stories are sad. There are also many success stories. My daughter would be 32. I hope she is happy with her own family. I want to be available if she is looking for me.

Born 11-27-70 in springfield PA (Delaware county south of Philadelphia I believe)
Mother or father believed to be from Jersey???
Jason

Thanks all who replied, but a single database of names and dates and locations would rectify this entire mess

Unhappy PA 6/10/68 birthmom ISO BSON

Yes, Jason, we are all looking! I realize that the only way I will ever come across something useful is if my son registered himself (that, of course, would be "Adoptee ISO birthmom 6/10/68".

This is what I am posting everywhere that I can (keeping in mind that (1) I am not computer literate, and (2) I only have access to a computer in "off" moments here at work!):

Birth Mother, Frances Louise Felton ISO Birth Son, Sean Michael Felton DOB 6/10/68 Holy Spirit Hospital/Dr William Carr, Camp Hill (Cumberland County) PA, adopted a few months later through Catholic Charities in Harrisburg (Dauphin County) PA by a family who had already adopted a child through Cath Char, and, at some point in the future, after adopting Sean Michael, they wished to adopt a third child. Sean Michael Felton was baptized at Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill (a few weeks after his birth). His GodParents were Susan and Gary Sheldon, with whom I had stayed for a few weeks prior to, and a few weeks after, Sean Michael's birth (at the time, Susan and Gary Sheldon had two young sons, David and Bryan).

Yes, there are birth mothers out there looking for their sons. I am one of them. My son was born on 12/23/69. I am sure there are many more of us searching. It is the hardest thing in the world for a mother to give up her child and it is something a woman never forgets or gets over. Hopefully I will find him, I need to know if my decision to give him up turned out OK for him. I need to know if he has had a good life. I need to know if all the pain I have carried for the past 33 year has not been in vein. I will search until the day I die.

Your post said you "saw a ton of people looking for their birthmothers". If you saw that on this forum you would have also seen a ton of birthmothers looking for their biological children. Don't be selective in the threads you review. As an adoptee I have gained much knowledge from the postings of birthmothers and have come to understand their longing and pain.

A good place I have found is called "R U Looking 4 Me?". It is how I found my daughter. And the Host is very nice. It is a great place, and offers a lot of hope for everyone.

Just thought you all might like to know.

Any birthmothers here??

Yes, we are here! I registered , here, on my daughter's 18th birthday, and found her! Some other mother's saw my post, and led me to a reunion number, from the agency that I had placed her with. We have since corresponded, and met. Now she , my youngest daughter, and I have become very good friends. She is in college, so when not home, we email and chat. We are out here.I wish you luck, and pray for you.
