Exclamation Male adoptee born 10/1/1981, Philadelphia or Delaware County, seeking info

I'm looking for my birth parents, siblings or any other family members, but have little information to go on. I am not sure if I was born in Philadelphia or Delaware County, but the adoption was almost certainly finalized in Philadelphia County. The adoption was handled by Catholic Charities/Catholic Social Services. My birth mother was roughly 22 years old, and I believe my birth father was of the same age range. She became pregnant, and he was apparently caring, but felt unprepared to be a parent at that time. Mother was described as Irish with dark brown hair and green eyes, ~5'6" and fit. Father described as Irish/German, brown hair, brown eyes, ~6'2" and athletic. This information is likely at least partially inaccurate. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi - have you contacted Philadelphia Catholic Charities about conducting a search for you?

Their information is here:

Also please let us know what steps you've done so far search wise, and we can give you more help then.

Exclamation More Information

I understand that my adoption was handled by both Catholic Social Services and the Adoption Catholic Children's Bureau, Inc. located in Philadelphia, PA.

I know the name and address of the hospital in which I was born and the name and address of my foster mother. I spent my first four days in the hospital and then a little over half a year with my foster mother.

I also have some details regarding my birth parents' upbringing, siblings, line of work, religious status, etc.

Catholic Social Services will not help without a check!! Children of youth and Special Services will tell Adoptees if you call searching for a Parent! I think they are in Chester Delaware County. Pa law won't allow them to tell the Parents anything unless the children contact them first. Brian E
