Does anyone ever feel this way?

Do any other adoptive parents ever feel that parents with natural born children look at you differently? Almost like you don't have a clue as to what you are doing? Maybe I am just paranoid. Has anyone else ever felt this way?

I do think we're often regarded differently.
I don't necessarily think it's about not knowing what I'm doing though. My experience leans more toward a feeling that I had it too easy because I didn't have to "go through" enough. i.e. pregnancy, labor, etc. So I must not know what motherhood is really about.
Hmmmm.....feels like I'm a mom at 3 a.m. while I'm changing a poopy diaper....

As a mom to bio-children, I personally do not look at adoptive parents differently.

As far as not having a clue, we have all been there, bio and adoptive parents. It is called being a first time parent. Heck I have two kids and I still go through periods where I do not have a clue, LOL!

No, I really don't, but then again, one of the benefits of being an older mom is that I KNOW darn good and well they don't know what they're doing either.

Sorry, but in my book, if you are getting thrown up on, using your disposable income for their new toys instead of yours , changing diapers and waking up when they do, you are the mom, stretch marks nothwithstanding.
