What I love about my chil(ren) ... I think we can have fun with this and I know it will be heart warming so, I'd love to hear from you ~ NancyNic |

One thing I love about my son is his sense of humor. He is almost five and I think I have the next Jim Carey on my hands! He makes sound effects, does pratfalls, and "reads" his joke book religiously. They had a talent show at school and what does he do; a stand up comic routine!

Must be a Zach thing because our 7 yo Zachary is a natural stand up comic, too. Great sense of humor, his 1st grade teacher reports he loves telling jokes and goes out of his way to be kind to other kids. Of course, we already knew this, we could see it when he was 4 yo...My daughter (2 in May), I love her independence, her willingness to try things like climbing the slide in our neighborhood park by herself and truing to keep up with her brother and his friends. Amazing.

humor and independence
It's amazing, isn't it, watching our children learn and grow ... and observing their personalities ... their sense of humor and growing independence.
My younger son's name is Zachary too! And actually, he is funny too, and loves to tease! Thanks for getting our list started! NancyNic |

Incredible but real ...
... what I truly love about my son is his argumentiveness (even when he is yelling at me) ... being an infant adoption he is more bonded than many of the older children placed through the systems but he has always said he feels a little bit different and will have to stand up for himself and he does ... independent!, stubborn!, defiant! and even though I could never tell him, I truly do love this in him as he will be a better person for it and reach out an touch many in ways even he doesn't know yet at age 12! Remind me of this when he is yelling at me not to talk to him when he is not getting his own way (ha ha)!

where do i begin.....
i love it when i pick my youngest up at school and he runs into my arms with a big smile on his face and yells..."daddy" I love it when they smile, i mean smile....there big brown eyes get all squinted up. It lights up the whole world. I love it when my oldest screams to me in the middle of the night when he is having a nightmare and wants ME to comfort him (wish he didnt have nightmares, dont get me wrong here) I love it when my older son is playing, he is always looking at me for approval I love it when my youngest turns off all his lights in his room, and has me put the flashlight on him while he sings a song and dances. I love it when i see them play with other kids and forget how different they really are. I love it when my oldest eats spagetti and sucks the longest spegetti in his mouth and cant stop laughing I love it when my kids bring home 'art' work and tell me where in the kitchen they want it hung....they are so proud of it. I love it when my kids wont go to bed until we do our bedtime ritual with story telling, hugs and backrubs, until they finally feel safe enough to fall asleep. I love watching them sleep and breath and pray that they will never have to experience any more severe pain in thier lives I love it when they want to really help me cook. I love it when they want me to come and cuddle with me while they are watching spongebob and share that experience. I love it when they say things, that astonish me and just make me laugh I love when my youngest screams to me..."daddy, look at the sunset...its beautiful..." I love it when they pick weeds from the ground and bring them to me out of love and i proudly display them in the best vase... there are so many things..i can go on and on....but i wont, dont worry...lol dadfor2 |

Oh gosh...
I love it when he snuggles up against me I love it when he gets so mad he stomps his feet (though I struggle not to laugh) I love it when he lights up as he sees his daddy coming I love watching him explore and figure out how things work (someday my washer will be in 1000 pieces I think) I love sweet kisses when we say bye-bye I love big hugs and squeals when I come home at night I love coloring pictures and building great lego towers I love the look of pure delight when he figures out something new :-) Regina, AMom to Ryan Joshua Thomas

I love they way she smiles at me.
I love the way she fits right into the crook of my arms. I love the way she laughs. I love the way she looks when she is sleeping. This one is kind of wierd, but ... I love the way she sometimes cries when someone else holds her and how she acts like I have come to the rescue when I take her back. It makes me feel needed. I love how she looks like my husband and I. I love everything about her!!!!!!!!! |

I love when he grabs my hand and walks me over to Hilary and grabs her hand and asks to be picked up for a family hug!
I love when he "throws" wet sloppy kisses by making a sucking noise on the palm of his hand! I love when he demands that I sit down and read to him when he feels that I have been ignoring him to long when I'm doing the dishes! I love when he gives me butterfly kisses! I love that he is learning to blow and spends his time on his hands and feet, bum in the air, spitting at the floor ! Mostly, I just love him!

I love my daughter's confidence and energy...she could be a millionaire if she bottled it!!!!!
I love her smile....every childs smile is the most genuine moment on earth. I love her kind heart...It will be the very thing that makes her a fine adult. I love her love for children....she will be an awesome mommy and is already a dynamic big sister. I love my son's imaginary world of heros...it reminds me that life is full of heros even if we cannot see them all. I love his laugh.....it is indeed a belly laugh that makes life a happy place to be. I love his endless "will"...it makes him demand the best and never give up. I love the fact that he still kisses his mom...even if in front of his friends it makes him blush. I love my toddlers absolute boundless energy....even if it is used by jumping off everything that is at least a few inches off the ground. I love his need to hug everyone he sees.....including those few unsuspecting parents at the soccer game. I love each new thing he tries to do each day... reminding me that each day is full of something fresh to learn. I love his perspective on life....everything is going to be okay as long as I get a snuggle in the end. And if we are boosting...I love my dhubby's perfect place in this family.....a great daddy and a dynamite partner. I love the fact that everyday starts with us and ends with a goodnight kiss for everyone. Gwen
