he is getting so big right before my eyes
this weekend, when i picked out an outfit for my son to wear to a bbq we were going to, he looked at me and said " i no yike it!" i could not believe my ears, this kid just turned 2 in may and he already is wanting to pick out his clothes. so, i put the outfit back and let him pick one out. although it was not the one i would have chosen (obviously), it worked just fine, but i hang his clothes up with shirts and shorts together, so if this becomes a habit, at least what he wears will match, until he figures out my system. after i got him dressed, i just kept thinking about him saying "i no yike it" when did my little baby get so big

I know what you mean McKenna. My little girl just turned two and I see so many changes. She hasn't arrived to the point of picking out her clothes yet. I like your idea and will keep it in mind. I chuckled with you allowing him to pick out his outfit. I would have done the same thing, as long as it was too bad
.My daughter is at the stage of telling me when she does a stinkie. We were in the checkout line of a store the other day when she had to announce. Stinkie, P.U. She was saying it so loud that everyone was turning and chuckling. As we walked out of the store, she was telling everyone she had a stinkie. She was right, she did. Now if only I can get her on the potty .

i know the potty training thing is going to be a trip. the other day my son came running into me saying "pooping, pooping" i hurried up and put him on the potty. we read books and i told him how proud i was of him for telling me, i said after he went on the potty i would get him some mmmm's (as he calls m&m's). well, after about 15 minutes i asked him if he was ready to get down, he said yes. i put his diaper back on, washed our hands and went into the kitchen to get a bottle for his sister. the next thing i know, he comes into the kitchen with no diaper on and says " i pooped, mmmm's" i ran to the living room and sure enough he pooped in his diaper, took it off and told me all about it. i think he is starting to get ready, but i am not pushing things as we are about to move and i know that is going to be a big enough change for him.

McKenna....
My little girl takes off her diaper also and then comes and tells me she did a stinkie. How funny that your son is doing that also. I'm not pushing the potty thing either right now. Time will come fast enough. I just want to hold her, hug her, and treat her like a baby right now. By the way, I heard the M&M work well for boys. My daughter's birthmom told me that is how she potty trained her son.
