Can't help with the dishes dilemma either- our dishwasher broke about 6 months ago,so I'm doing them all by hand. I do have a kid assigned to dish helper every week, but it's still a lot of work!

LOL, see I was coming on here to ask how much everyone spends on groceries...because I feel like I spend ALOT.
My kids also want seconds and thirds. Spaghetti is something that is quick to make and easy to make a lot of. Salads are also pretty easy to do. My kids love Chicken Alfredo, Jambalaya, Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, Oven fried chicken with dirty rice, walking tacos. They'll try anything once. Then they vote on whether or not to add it to the menu again. I buy most of my kitchen pans from restaurant supply stores and places like Sam's Club. I feel like I'm running a catering business. I'm just about out of meal ideas. I did go to the library and pick up a few cook books. It helped a little, I found some wonderful soups in one book. As for dishes, we use paper plates unless it's a special occasion. That has helped alot. Kathy
