Hi My name is Ashley Fitzgerald. I am currently a senior at Salem State College. I am required to take a directed study class which consists of doing a research project of my choice. I have always been particular interested in the whole adoption process, and it could also be due to myself being adopted. The purpose of my study will be to examine both older and younger adoptive mothers on their discipline strategies with their adoptive children. One questionnaire will examine whether a parent is authoritarian, authoritative, or permissive. The second questionnaire will examine the parents perception
of how much power a parent versus a child has in a child-rearing situation. I will be needing 30 mothers who have adopted children as the participants. If any of you are interested or have any other questions for myself please email me and let me know. Thank you!!
