Since this is a faith-based forum and almost all of us pray (or meditate) for our adoptions to go smoothly, I thought I'd post a pagan prayer a day. I get these from another forum I belong to so I'll also include copyright info.

If you have a prayer you use please feel to post it as well. I sure wouldn't mind more participation on this forum.

Gather me in your infinitely encompassing arms,
hug me to your soft breast,
and whisper, “There, There;
all will be well.
All will be well, but for now cry.
My clothes have been wet with tears before and will be again.
So for now, cry,

She is great and not to be held
because it is her arms that hold.
She is ever-present and not to be seen
because there is nothing to compare her to.
Ride across the plains
and you are on her body.
Climb the mountains
and you climb her breasts.
Go into the ocean
and you are in her very womb.
Mystic Yoni, not to be held.
Mystic Yoni, not to be seen.
Mystic Yoni, only to be loved.
Mystic Yoni, Gift-Giver.
Mystic Yoni, Birth-Giver.

We call on the Great Mother:

Here is today's prayer:

"Tell me, Lady, tell me, Lord,
what your message is for me.
I have tried to decide for some time
just what it is that you have to teach me.
Now, at the end of my resources,
I finally do what I should have done first:

This was posted on my pagan group because of a death of a pet. She wanted to remind us that we all get older and sometimes need prayers of comfort.

"Lord of Death, I will greet you soon with arms wide open in trust
as I cross the boundary into your realm.
I will enter the world beyond worlds
with my eyes open and my head lifted,
ready to experience its unique wonders,
no less beautiful than in this world I have known.
I will go to the Land of Youth,
to rest in your halls, O gods of my people,
to commune with the spirits of those who have gone this way
and who wait for me, there on the other side."
