Cleaning Ritual
I tend to make my own cleaning supplies, so part of my ritual is done when I'm mixing them up... but I thought I'd offer a brief version here for anyone interested.
First step in the Nursery was smudging! Once that was done, I gently set up an altar, that will be adapted and moved as the baby grows. My very sweet husband made a lovely shelf with holes at each corner attached carridge bolts through it and we dropped chains from hooks in the celing and put them through the bolts so now we can raise or lower this adorable little shelf and it's completely steady since the hooks we used actually go through beams. I created sacred space, and began empowering the cleaning supplies for their use. I made a lovely rosemary vingar water solutuion for gentle cleaning of the walls, and a basil/sage vinegar solution for our carpet steamer. Candles and crystals for appropriate meaning are also empowered and in the nursery. Now each new piece is being cleansed as it's brought into the room and empowered. I've even added an area on the altar for days when I just am stressed, worried and tired of waiting that I can go light a candle, turn on the lovely lulabye CD and relax to enjoy te 'company' of our baby even though miles seperate us. |

I suppose with the new baby, you will use lots of natural substances rather than chemical ones. right? wrong? dmca |

I generally use sea salts and lemon in my bathroom or places that I need to scrub at..
And yes, because of the baby I am trying to keep chemicals to a minimum, I love my steamer for instance, no chemicals but it does a brilliant job on everything from my oven to my tub and potty. But honestly... I try to keep chemicals down anyway. My skin reacts to nearly everything ven lotions so I've always had to becareful. |
