When you were in high school, what did you want to be when you 'grew up'? Is your life now pretty much what you envisioned or did you go a totally different path?

Did you play any sports in high school? No. I ran and biked a little, but no organized sports.

Were you in any extracurricular activities/clubs/band/etc? Tons. Student government, pep club (which I now find slightly embarrassing), 2 foreign language clubs, class boards.

When you were in high school, what did you want to be when you 'grew up'? A psychologist or a lawyer.
I gave up a scholarship for grad school and decided to go to law school after taking a counseling practical course my last year of undergraduate school. I decided I did not have the right patience to listen to people's problems without trying to solve them (and that's not the point of counseling!)

Is your life now pretty much what you envisioned or did you go a totally different path? Pretty much as I envisioned, except for a decade long detour while I worked in D.C.---a detour I'm really glad I made. I had some incredible experiences there.

sports ended at jr level.
Not very active in clubs, just did what I had to to meet requiremtents.
When I grew up I wanted to be a stay at home mom. The cool mom. I haven't grown up yet but was blessed with be able to be a stay at home mom. As for the cool part, that would be desided by who you asked.

When you were in high school, what did you want to be when you 'grew up'? Is your life now pretty much what you envisioned or did you go a totally different path? For many years I was a professional dancer until I needed surgery on my knees. I never dreamed I would have gone the route I did. But, I'm glad I did because I wouldn't be the person I am today.
