Hi , I am Jody an adoptee and have been a leader of an adoption triad support group for 8 and 1/years in the Chicagoland suburbs of IL. I am doing a presentation in Spring on all 3 sides of adoption. I thought it would be fun to hear from those touched by adoption and have them share what was in their "Adoption Suitcase" when they came into adoption- this can be tangible or intangible items- feelings, emotions, questions, unknowns,items, things they wished were there. Did the suitcase get lighter or take things out on the journey or add things? Sharing faith related things too great. Have fun with this and some may just want to share a list of things that come to mind - some might be more creative in prose. I think by sharing we can all identify some common threads in the adoption journey.
