So excited! Contact with aunt after several years!
Unfortunately we have had minimal contact with our 3 1/2 year old daughters bio family. We've met her maternal aunt twice, grandma once, and half siblings once. The last time we've seen or heard from anyone was over two years ago.
We have an address and we send Christmas letters, pictures, etc. We also sent a card with updated address and phone # after we moved. I just never knew if they got them or not. Today we got a letter in the mail from her aunt thanking us for the Christmas letter and pictures. It was a lovely letter, full of emotion and mispellings. I started crying reading it. I am just thrilled that I have it to give to my daughter. So the moral of the story is, if you want contact just keep reaching out whether or not you hear anything for a long time.
