When i was 16 I gave my boy up.(parents made me do so) i was only 25 weeks pregnant and had the baby father and mother did all paperwork because i was a minor.I do remember a lady comming to the house from adoption place with papers i signed right after i got home from adoption.And i remeber them asking me if i wanted the child or new parents to be able to contact me i signed a paper saying yes. but they never did.( i was scared of parents so i thought when i was 18 by signing it i would and could have contact with him!).
my parents wont even talk about it, or tell me anything about it. so i can i find out?I tried to ask hospital they no nothing?Any help would be great! he is 22 years old now.I would love to see him and talk to him.Maybe he dont even know about being adopted.?

If you have any aunts or uncles who might have known about the adoption, you can check with them. Otherwise your parents probably have hidden in some old box, safe, or file cabinet at least one or more pieces of paperwork that you had to sign. Also if you have a sympathetic doctor or nurse, you can get them to write a letter to the hospital that you delivered at to request your ob/gyn/delivery medical records for medical purposes. It's not likely... but there could be a slim chance that the agency who did the adoption might be listed in the records.

I don't know what your relationship is with your parents so I don't know if you can face them. If you have the courage to face them you could tell them that you know they are trying to protect you but that you are an adult now and deserve to have the basic information that might someday allow your birthchild to contact you. Tell them that just as they love you deeply with a mother and father's love... so do you love your child and hope that someday you will be able to meet your child in person and provide medical information which all adoptees wish they had.
