I am a retired AirForce officer, 73 years old. After being widowed, I met a widow, a woman I had known since our early years together in school. She has a mentally retarded daughter, age 45 who has lived at home her entire life. We married and I would like to learn if I adopt the daughter, will she be considered a dependent under the military system. I will be contacting the military, but I thought one of you might have some tips for me. speak20@ezwv.com |

I don't have the answer you are looking for, but I wanted to wish the three of you a wonderful and blessed journey together.
And for you sir, thank you for serving us as an USAF officer.

Adoption
Ordinarily, she should be considered a dependent. Have you contacted an attorney to be sure that you can adopt her in your state?
Regards
