toddler adoption

We were curious about the procedure involving adoption of the older children. (toddlers). Is it similiar to infants? different? do they come from foster homes or are birth parents still involved? etc.

Any information on this topic is greatly appreciated.

Please feel free to email it to me at edmc12@yahoo.com

Some countries require the parents to sign rights waiver document that indicate they give up the rights of the child-even immediately not too long after birth! Also when in the court process, in some countries like Bulgaria, parents who wanted to reclaim their child(ren) must prove to the court that they have the necessary resources to provide for the child. As far as foster care homes, check with each independent agency. Hope this help!

My husband and I are planning to adopt but since I was a toddler we are not sure if we want to adopt a toddler or baby. We would like to adopt a sibling set though.

But I feel if you can have a big enough heart and lots of stability and love the paybacks would be so much greater than any problems she might have. So GOOD LUCK.
