Adopting 2 brothers

Most of the foster parents have adopted a lot of their foster children. Good luck. Agencies will jump on the opportunity to place a sibling group. If it is through DHS you should be receiving a subsidy to offset any special therapies thay might need. Do not turn this down. If you finalize the adoption and it is determined there is nothing "wrong" with the children at least make sure you get "deferred adoption assistance". That way you will be able to go back to the agency in later years and apply for assistance to cover health related problems etc...

This is a very educating board. But don't let it scare you away from adopting older children. This will allow you to make a more educated decision when you are given info on the children available. My belief is God will give you the child/children you are to parent and will not give you more than you can handle. Good luck. Looking forward to hearing from you on the listserv.
