Walk for Adoption this Sunday, Nov. 4th

If you are in the Tulsa area and connected to adoption somehow, please join us for Walk for Adoption on Sunday, Nov. 4th, from 2-4 in the Bishop Kelley H.S. gym. There are birthmothers, adoptive families, potential adoptive parents and adoptees from all faiths there, as well as representatives from several area adoption agencies. The event is really to just raise awareness about adoption, but it's a great way to connect on all sides of the adoption triad.

Admission is $15, benefits go to birthmother expenses and counseling. MIX 96 will broadcast live from the event, there's a cakewalk, Jupiter Jump & silent auction as well.

Brandy, sorry, I didn't see your post in time. Yes, I am in Tulsa. The event is held that first Sunday in November every year.

Its ok - they were unable to attend, due to previous obligations

My daughter and her parents live outside of Tulsa

They are kind of cute---we had a poster contest in the elementary schools, and the winning design was from a 3rd grader. I just sent a couple to some of my other a.com buddies.
