The adoption was done thru a private lawyer, my grandmother swears she signed the paperwork as well as my mother, but not the birthfather. My mother, swears that she and the birthfather signed the paperwork, but had no knowledge of my grandmother signing anything.

The only reason I could see as to why my grandmother signed anything is because my mother (the birthmother) was a minor when my sister was born... but it still doesn't make much sense to me.

Does anyone know the law on this one?
