How to start search?

She believes her daughter is also ready to meet her birth daughter. I know this is vague, but I would like to give the grandmother some suggestions as to how, and where, to start searching. I will help her as much as I can, as she doesn't have internet access. Can someone offer suggestions for this kind of a search, and what the restrictions/regulations are in Oklahoma for these records? I think a stumbling block is that the grandmother doesn't know the adoptive parents' names or even if the adoption was "official." Obviously, she and her daughter will have to discuss this, but I would like to have a "starting place" for them. Thanks so much.

Re: How to start search?
If it was a private adoption then there is no way you can get any information out of your file like non-identifying info. you have to thru Judge winslow and a mediator to get anywhere. I have been searching since I was 18 I was also born in tulsa, ok January 31, 1967. Let me know and maybe I can help. Tiffany tifftharp@hotmail.com

Claremore OK
I'm responding to an old post, but I was born at Claremore Regional Hospital and adopted by a family in Claremore in September, 1972. I have no idea who my birth mother is, but I wonder.
Responding to: I met a sweet 78-yr old lady through my genealogy research who would dearly love to find her granddaughter. The granddaughter was b. in the Vinita area, and given up for adoption in Tulsa about 30 years ago (without the grandmother's knowledge). She believes her daughter is also ready to meet her birth daughter. I know this is vague, but I would like to give the grandmother some suggestions as to how, and where, to start searching.
