We cannot find which social agency was involved in my husbands
adoption. Adoption was finalized in Mahoning County Ohio. We've sent out requests to several people and haven't
received anything back.
However, we did receive a copy of the adoption decree, which states
Guy L. Wetmore as the social worker. I just can't find what agency
he worked for. He is deceased as of 1984.


We have been given the run around by everybody.
Wrote to the courts, only non i.d they gave was that birthmom was unwed.
I do have dates of the interlocutory and final decree.
Husband was born in Indiana, adopted in Ohio at birth.

My husband called the Ohio Adoption Registry today, and they we're
very rude! (I thought they we're there to help)!
He has all but given up because everyone he has called has treated
him so badly.

If anyone can help or offer advice it would be great!
We are starting to get pretty desperate!

Its always hard to get info when a child is born in one state and adopted in another. If Indiana will not give you info I don't know what to tell you.
Did you send the agency in IN a form letter asking for specific info or just let them send what they wanted to. How long has he had the little bit of info? If its been a long time he might want to try them again. Let me know and I will send a form letter that we use in OH and see if that will get him anymore info..OK?
