Birth Index

I was wondering how one would find out which hospital the baby was born from the birth index.

Thumbs up BIRTH INDEX

Different states use birth index.........OHIO being one state.
I notice you are in TN so you might want to check the state you are interested in to see if they have a SEARCHABLE birth index.

Amyjo,

The OHIO birth index DOES NOT show the hospitals the babies are born in. It would sure be a great help if it did tho.

I actually searched through the Ohio birth index this weekend to look for my birthmom. Its a tedious event. The index is by year. So you can look at the year you were born. The births are listed in alphabetical order from the baby's last name. It tells you the baby's first and last name, the mother's maiden name, the birthdate, and the city and county. It's really hard because I dont have a last name of my birth family. So, I had to go through each one and go by birthday. In two hours, my family got part way through the B's. We are going back to continue the search in a couple weeks. Good luck

OH birth index search??

Hi!

Why are you going to Columbus to search the Birth index? I have them and will be happy to do your search for you.

Did you ever get your NON-ID-INFO from Catholic Family Services?
This is as important as your birth name.

Please let me know if you want me to search the birth index for you?

Blessings

Thumbs down BIRTH INDEX

CORRECTION:

No SEARCH ANGEL will send the whole OH BIRTH INDEX to anyone. They would be sending 30 years of original births and 30 years of amended names. So that doesn't happen.

They might send a list of the births for the DOB and POB and that is all.

The partial list of 1971 [only about 10% births listed] is on the OH birth index for the original names...
HOWEVER the 1971 list of Amended names are all there to the best of my knowlege.

Just wanted to clear that up real quick before we have a run on OH BIRTH INDEX....

Blessings
