Hi, my name is Jackie and I am new here to this forum. I have been doing alot of reading of these posts trying to figure out how to go about finding my bmom. I must tell you it is overwhelming but I have a few questions if you have the time...I just picked this post to respond to bcz I see your name on here all the time, anyone can feel free to respond though, I will take all the guidance I can get. I am 32 yrs old, born in Akron, OH in 1972 (which I have to ask why that is a bad yr in reference to the birth index? ) and I was adopted from the Catholic Service League....how do I start this search??

It doesn't help you knowing what Hospital....you still were born in 1974 and those births can only be searched manually. They are on Microfiche in Columbus.

born 08-21-71 in mansfield ohio, mansfield general Hospital, Richland County. Mother was 19 Father was 29, Mother had dark brown eyes, weight 125, height 5"2, with fair complexion.

Father had blue eyes, weight 210, height 6"3. Adoption was handled by Richland County Children Services. My adopted name is Robert F Tibbetts. Any thing else you need? Thanks a ton.

My DOB is Jan 6, 1971 @ 5:54 a.m. @ Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. My records are through Family Service Assn. also in Dayton. My Bmom was 24, 5'4", 155lbs, w/ brown hair and blue eyes.
