Charlotte 1949-1954
I will be going to Charlotte soon to try and find out information about my birth mother. I believe there are court documents where the agency was trying to terminate her parental right due to them not being able to find her. Also she was involved with golfers. I need ot find out who was playing golf for money in the 1950's in North Carolina. I need to know where to look for special proceedings book, marriage records, divorce records and old addresses.
I will be in Charlotte next week so anything or anywhere to look would be appreciated.

Trip to Charlotte courthouse
Marsha, you will find Special Proceedings room on the second floor of new courthouse. Marriage records
are not in the courthouse but in another building nearby. Good luck.
