I am searching for my stepson's brother that was born on 3/10/1999 in pinehurst,nc at moore regional hospital. My stepson's mother is now deceased. he found out that he has a brother just last night. he is 15 years old and my husband and i thought that he needed to know and there was no sense in keeping it from him any longer. of course now he would like to find him since that is the only connection still living of his mother. can someone please give me advise on what to do and our legal options. this is a very tough situation because his mother is no longer living. a family member does still have pictures of the baby before it got adopted. it's really sad because he has always wanted a brother(he has 2 half-sisters). now he has found out that he has a brother and wants to find him. thanks to anyone that can give advise or might have some information.

Ummm, since the brother was adopted I don't think there is really anything you can do now. The boy is only 6 years old. I think it is very premature to try and find him. As much as your stepson would like that connection to his mom, you need to explain to him that it isn't an option for a long, long time.

i appreciate your response, although at this time i am looking for some positive input. i realize that he is only 6, but you don't understand the whole situation. i am looking for people to respond with positive advise or maybe someone who can lead me to his brother. thanks
