Mecklenburg County Vital Stats Site
Does anyone know what happened to the Meckenburg vital stats website?
All the information about the parents is gone. It is public information so why did they take it off the internet? Marsha in NC

Marsha, I inquired into this and they replied saying that they had done it for "privacy reasons". However I do not know if they have been removed from the system at the ROD office. I had some copied down....send me a date and I will see if I have a match.

I'm not looking for anything right now. I knew the ones after the 60's were available but now there is no parent information showing at all, only the child. It looks like we are going to need someone in Charlotte to go to the courthouse everytime we need something traced.

Marsha, You can look at copies of bc of any of those listed online for meck county at Vital Records...but there are no additional ones on their computer. Vital Records is in a different building and different location than the courthouse.
