I am in search of my biological half brother born in Charlotte in 1964. My mother was in a home for unwed mothers. I would greatly appreciative for a search angel in this area.

If you have any updated medical information which you feel should be passed along, contact the agency which handled the adoption. They will tell you how to go about sending in updated info. They by law have to pass it along to the adoptee. Also let them know you would like contact with the adoptee if the adoptee so chooses.

Hey Roberta,
I dont have any medical issues to pass along just want to find him. I contacted Mecklinburg County DSS, the lady was really nice but said after her search that she couldnt find anything and that she contacted Raleigh N.C. and that they didnt have anything either. This is kinda confusing to me. I mean I know they wont give me alot of personal info but for them to have nothing. What does this mean? I thought if my brother was adopted out of state maybe.....but it looks like Raleigh would have something. I had a someone tell me they would be a search angel for me and I give them the ifo and never heard anything back. Not even that they was unable to help me. So I guess I am kinda stuck and dont know where to turn.

United Family Services in Charlotte handled my adoption and when I wrote Raleigh and DSS in Charlotte both of them told me they had nothing on me, so if I hadn't known the name of the agency from my adopted parents, I wouldn't have known where to write for non identifying info.

Maybe I should try the Family Services. Its just odd to me I thought Raleigh would have all these records but I guess not huh? Thanks for the info
