North Carolina and Adoption Reform (NCCAR)

I would like to take this time to invite anyone on this forum who would like to see change in NC to become a member of NCCAR. http://adoptionreform-nc.org

Also, if there is anyone on this site who is terminally ill, or up in years who is searching please visit the Lifechoes website at http://lifechoes.com where you can leave behind your life story in case anyone searches for you in the future.

If you are a birthmother who relinquished in NC, you have the right to send in updated medical information to the agency which handled the adoption. They have to forward it to either the adult adoptee, the parents of a minor or hospitalized adoptee. There can be a possiblity of dialogue through the agency being opened up between two parties. No guarantees however.

If you are a search angel in NC and would like to be listed on our site, please send me your county or counties, first name and email address and I will list you on our site.

If you read this become involved. We at NCCAR know search is hard. However we have learned the following:

Those in search mode usually do not feel they will be useful to the cause. You will be, have no fear of that.

Those who have found usually feel they don't need to help reform because they have found. NOT TRUE. We need you to help so others won't have to search as hard.

Adoptive parents is what has stopped every piece of legislation which has tried to be passed in NC before. So if there are any adoptive parents out here searching on behalf of your children, please join us and let your views be heard.

It is the squeaky wheel which gets the grease they say. Let our side be that wheel in 2007 when we go before the legislature.

Join Us - Make a Difference!!

Roberta
