I'm now 33 and wish deeply that I will not reach my 34th birthday without some type of contact with my past. I was adopted shortly after my birth, though I was called Dean by my Foster family (i only know this because of a card my adoptive parents have that calls me baby dean).
Born in Carteret county and adopted thru a lawyer and with records sealed. I only know that my birth parents were unable to keep me due to age and finances.
I think everyday about where I came from and can't seem to find that foundation in my life that knowing who you look like and what health concerns are within my blood.
I only wish to have a medical history and a conversation that will aide me in making me whole. I really don't mean any harm, nor do I want to inconvenience anyone's life. I'm just tired of not knowing where I came from.

Its been a while since you posted this thread. have you found out anything?
I am in the same boat. I am 33 born in Fay NC and was told I had several siblings in my family.
i totally feel the same way you do.
