Hey everyone,

Well, I have been searching for quite sometime and I finally asked my parents for any information they had. They were able to give me my birth mothers name and I already had some information that I had found through my search.

Anyway, I ended up doing more research and finding out, what i thought, was her current address and phone number. I finally built up the courage and called and it turned out it was her ex husbands home. But I spoke to him and his new wife and they seemed really willing to help me. He said that I even sounded so much like her. He wasn't aware that she had given a child up for adoption but sounded determined to help me in any way he could. He said he hadn't been in contact with her for a few years, but had his divorce papers somewhere with her most recent address and as soon as he found them he was going to call me. He also said he was going to call some of the people she used to work with to see if anyone knew where she was now. He even said that he was going to call his family and see what they remembered about her family and her friends so he could give me as much information as possible.

Well, that was over a month ago and they have not called me. I did leave them a message or 2 just to remind them I was around and even if they had the littlest bit of information I would appreciate a call back. It is very discouraging because they were such nice people and I had such high hopes of them giving me a ton of information.

Now I am once again stuck with not enough information to find her. I am considering hiring a PI, but you have to be careful who you hire and make sure they are trust worthy. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or know what I should do next??

Hello, I am an adoptee from amsterdam ny. When I thought I found a name for my bio mom and an old address I contacted a local investigator who is an ex state trooper. It took him a few days to locate the woman and unfortunatly she was the wrong age. if you are interested, the name of the investigator is furman investigations. He searched the name for me for $50.00 and is a very nice well known gentlemen. Good luck!
