Have adopted son who would very much like to find his birth siblings.....3 sisters and 1 brother. When we adopted him, we also wanted to adopt his brother, George, but because George then had Cystic Fibrosis and needed extensive therapy, the agency, I believe Chatauqua County, NY.....Jamestown, felt it better that George be placed in a home with no other children. The agency promised us they would notify us if anything happened to George due to the usual life expectancy of one with CF at that time. Of course, we've never heard from them.
Our son, Fred, was born in Hanover, NY April 25, 1971. He has 3 sisters -- 2 older and I believe one younger. One of the girls' names is Tammy.....I do not remember the other names. The birth mother moved around from NY to Ohio. At the time we adopted our son Fred, he was using the last name "Smith" however, we do not know if this was his birth name or if this was a pseudo-name given to him by the agency.
Fred just celebrated his 32nd b'day in April, has 4 children. So far, none of them have any signs of CF, but he does need to know about other medical history......heart disease, diabetes, etc.... for himself and his children. If you have any information, please post a reply to this message.
