I was initially very hopeful about your post in that my (given not birth) name matched the name you were looking for and I too was born at OLV in 1971 but several months before the date you are looking for. This was my initial foray into this board and after searching several more posts associated with your moniker I realized that the birth date you were searching for was quite certain. mmetroro - I have just begun searching for my daughter and it seems an almost impossible task. Yesterday I visited OLV infant home. They were as helpful as they are allowed to be. They did confirm the birthdate for me and are going to send me any non identifying information they can find. They will also notify me if she was adopted out of NY state. If you haven't talked with them yet it may be helpful. The woman I spoke to was Denise and she was very helpful and understanding. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

I wanted to draw your attention to www.reunionregistry.com, if you have not yet registered there. I went to this website last Friday and found a positive match. Today I spoke with a woman from the organization and she confirmed the match and will try to contact the birth mother. It is a very well organized site and may be helpful for you.
