Does the Adoption Unit in Trenton accept privately done home studies, or only home studies completed by DYFS?

I have been attempting since May to have my home study forwarded to the adoption unit in Trenton. I have contacted my resource worker and her supervisor numerous times. I was told it needs to be updated...but now cannot get anyone to come out to my house to update it. I am very frustrated and at the point where I want to take matters into my own hand and pay for a private agency to complete a home study for me. Then I will send it to Trenton.

I'd call to ask. They accepted my privately done adoption profile. It was actually after that that I received a call from Trenton about a placement.

Thanks, Vernell This is the answer I was hoping to hear.

I should just call and ask, but have put off doing so because I don't want to be disappointed again...silly thought process, I know.
