SCREAMING with joy--FINALLY a date!

She came home to us at 12 days old (birthmom gave her up at birth) and today our lawyer told us to pick a date--so it's looking like 10/22... just 2 weeks before her 1st bday/adoption party. I was starting to wonder if I should change the invite to just "1st bday"

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!! But MAN, what a workout they give ya--huh?

DONE!!! SHE'S OURS!!!

I seriously can't believe it.

I also can't believe what a weird, free feeling it was to push that stroller from the courthouse. I have no idea why. It's not like her worker was overbearing by any stretch and I never FELT like she wasn't actually ours... but today, after court, it was just such a different feeling and it kind of surprised me. We've had her since she was 12 days old and mom didn't want her--so literally, she was place to be adopted and that's it. She'll be 1yo in 2 weeks. So talk about an easy case (I mean, easy as it gets with DYFS-which is NEVER easy).

But man, what a very "she's really ours" feeling. I didn't expect it. I thought I already felt that way!
