help again its all new to me...
Please share your experience...
This will be our first foster placement, so I am unsure how things work. In the fall I will return to work as a teacher. Now it is my understanding that foster children can not be watched by family members. There are a few days at the beginning of school that I will have to work and his school aged child care program will not have begun.. There will also be a couple of days in the school year that I work and he is off. I have this on my list to ask the CW but sometimes she is slow to answer questions. So I am throwing it out here. Is this a use for respite? What do they expect working people (outside the home) to do? Thanks for any and all info... |

I had my mother submitted for a backround check and fingerprinting so she can babysit for me. The only stipulation is she has to babysit at my home.
Good Luck and Welcome!!

I use a church member who has a licensed in-home day care (and is like family to me/FC). In the past she's been the primary childcare provider for my other FC. When I use her on short notice I pay her out of pocket but she's very reasonable)
