I am. Mine didn't come this month. Nope. Apparently the new computer system is FUBAR. I was supposed to get my first check for the Little Dude's post adoption subsidy. Didn't come. Doesn't exist. I may have to wait till January or later to get it. ARGH! Of course, I was really counting on that money for Christmas. Sigh. I really needed it.

I am sooooooo tired of having to battle with DYFS for every little thing.

Anyone else have this problem with the new computer system?

Not me - My FS's check usually comes between 7th and the 10th every month.

In 18 months I have never once gotten the amount we are supposed to be getting.
So, yeah, I have problems every month!!

Mine is like clockwork on the 10th. Maybe its a county thing. I'm in Burlington Co.

But as soon as he switched from Foster Care subsidy to Adoption subsidy, it got all screwed up. So just FYI for those of you who will be adopting.

MadFosterMomma's adoption subsidy check was okay though. But apparently the new computer system gets all confused when it switches from foster to adoption subsidy. SO make sure ahead of time that all your information is in there. I am out a bunch of money and I really needed it. Apparently I will get it....someday.

We had the same problem with our daughter's subsidy...first adoption subsidy check...

I was using it for Christmas this year since we just spent big bucks on my DH's transmission and radiator. ($4000)

We received our son's but our daughter's was left out. I called Monday, Wednesday and Friday this past week to follow up. On Wed and Friday, the woman said she would call me back..NOPE! She also said she thought checks were mailed out Thurs or Friday but couldn't get through to accounting...How comvenient!!!

Okay, now THIS month, I got OVERPAID by DYFS! Can you believe it? I think they paid me once under his birth name and once under his adopted name. Since I was full of Catholic guilt, I just called and left two messages saying I think I was overpaid. I am not a TOTAL idiot - I cashed the check first. So as I see it, they can just not pay me next month. I debated long and hard whether I should say anything at all. After all, it is not MY fault that their new computer system is so wacky.

But then I pictured myself in a women's prison, charged with defrauding the government or some such (yes I watch too much TV). All I could think was how my leg hair would get really long in prison. That's what Martha Stewart said when she got spring from the pokey.

So did anyone else get OVERPAID? And I think my making two phone calls is enough, don't you? I feel like I have done my duty to the state. And to my shaved legs.

The new rate started this moth so I did receive about $80 more.

Well I guess it is good that I called. The accounting office said I did get overpaid. Luckily, I hadn't spent any of it (although it looks nice in my bank account). Now I have to pay it back. But they are still confused as to how much. It hasn't even cleared in my account yet, so I can't write the check yet anyway.

Between the double payment and the new rates, they're likely confused about exactly how much you SHOULD have gotten.

Hmmm... I don't know! I'd start by asking my resource worker.

Mine never comes earlier than the 11th... so tomorrow I expect to get them.

You can also call the Accounting office in Trenton. You need to know your Payee number that is on the check stub. But the checks aren't really late just yet - they come around the 10th or 11th.

Yep - received my stipend today....
