Is anyone in doing specialized foster care?

if anyone is doing specialized foster care, does your agency limit the amount of children you can have? or do they suggest you can only have 2 kids at a time or something of that nature....

I am in Montana and we can only have one at a time if they are specialized foster care.

The regulations in NJ are pretty strict, or at least they try to be (there are times that DYFS does issue a waiver). If you are interested in becoming a SHP home, here are the stipulations:

The household limit is 6 children in a SHSP home. There can't be more than 2 children under the age of 2 and no more than 2 SHSP children in a home at any time. One parent needs to be in the home at all times and can work no more than 10 hours outside the home per week. If a foster parent is a SHSP parent, it is requested that they only take SHSP children and not regular foster children as well
