pre trial hearing?

In July we had a compliance hearing, but before that DYFS filed for TPR. So at the July hearing the abuse and neglect case was closed and the case was moved to guardianship with a hearing set for 9/11 with a new judge who only does all guardianship cases. In talking with the GAL after court in July she said that on 9/11 it would be a pre trial hearing, where basically all they would do would be set up dates for the TPR trial. Well on Tuesday while talking with CW, she informed be that court was changed to 9/8. She said oh it's nothing it is just a case management meeting, so anyhow I am a little confused. Is it still what the GAL said, but just different terms used, or do you think something has changed. Anyone have any ideas on what can we can expect?

If you haven't already, I would get in touch with both your case worker and the law guardian to find out what happened at court, since both the 9/8 and 9/11 dates passed. What happend? If the trial date was set, then it should have been scheduled. Case Management is usually totally different. Let us know how it went!

Update, sorry so long

Sorry I have been having a major problem getting to this board. I start at adoption.com and when I hit forums it says page not available done. Well anyhow court was on 9/8 and TPR trial was set for the end of Nov into begining of Dec. At the hearing, DYFS wanted to decrease visits and BP wanted to increase to overnight. The visits had been once a week (and another visit during the week only if we agreed upon it) The judge refused to change the current visitation because that wasn't what we were there for and made DYFS file for an imergent hearing (sp?) Well that hearing was on Monday. The councelor who recommended visits cut down was there and ready to testify. They had us in negotiations and then the BP atty & DAG would powwow with judge and go back to the parties. After 5 hours of this, it was figured out and we went in front of judge for a court order. The new visits are once every three weeks and then in the middle of the three weeks (so about 10days after regular visit) there will be a therapudic visit with BP. The judge wanted all visits to be therapudic but they couldn't find a source to do what the judge wanted done, so this is how it was settled. I don't understand the purpose of the therapudic visits any input on that would help. The judge also ordered mediation.
