Pre-trial ???
Does anyone know what this is? I was told we are going to pre-trial in Sept. Court was Monday - nothing new - after almost 2 years- bio mom still not following case plan - hasnt had visitation in 1.5 years- bio dad has never made it to court nor does he see kids . Kiddos had a bonding eval two weeks ago with bio mom for DYFS- did not go well - besides psychologist saying bio mom cant take care of herself let alone two kids with special needs- I had 2 very flipped out kids since they dont really know who she is and she is saying mommy so they think they are moving yet again - Now we do another one for defense side on the 31st of this month and then we wait for pre-trial in Sept. Poor kids just want a stable family.

Hey There!
Pre-Trial gets ready for trial. The Judge wants to make sure that all paperwork is ready to go for trial - bonding evaluations, etc., etc. The bonding evals are the most important for trial. Usually there are 2 bonding evaluations done - 1 for DYFS and then 1 for defense attorney. They usually differ from one another, as you may well guess since the one from DYFS usually is in support of the TPR and the reasons therefore, and the defense bonding is geared towards reunification w/ bio-parent. BUT sometimes this is not the case - sometimes, the bonding evals are the same. ...... Keep your head up! You are getting there. The trial date is what you want.
