In the waiting stage

We're in the waiting stage yet again. This time around we're smarter about it. And are definately using the time wisely. Thought I'd share our wait with everyone. We've worked on some home improovement projects with our latest being sealing our driveway this weekend (imagine how crazy that would be with a new addition running around).

And this time I'm not allowing myself to get excited until the new addition actually moves in. Too much heart break otherwise. Part of me still thinks it may not happen, so that's the reason for such caution. You all know how the system works, my rose colored glasses broke a while ago.

So our family is living in the now, enjoying our sons and trying to to think about another one.

Are you still doing foster care? I remember that you had a little boy recently. Is he still with you? Wishing you good thoughts!

Our foster son moved on to a specialized home. We're still in the adoptive waiting stage (1.5 years and counting now). But there may be some light at the end of our tunnel soon, at least I hope so.

1.5 years - wow! I just entered the waiting stage and am believing God for favor to have a short wait. I do have a mental cut-off though. After one year, it's on to a private agency for domestic infant (AA) adoption.

OK, DS #3 is on his way. He should be here on Monday YEAH! So 1 year and 8 months later. It's been such a LONG wait, but very very very worth it.

Hang in there waiters, your kiddos will arrive.
