What Every Foster/Adopt Parent Should Read...

In my endless effort to advocate for our angel I stumbled across another fantastic resource: a free manual called "The Attorney Manual for Child Welfare Cases." It is published by ACNJ's (Association for Children of New Jersey) Legal Resource Center.

I called and asked for a copy and they sent it the same day (for free). I find it to be a great all-in-one manual that helped me tie together my research when I was writing to caseworkers, attorneys, and the judge presiding over our case.

To get a copy, call ACNJ at (973) 643-3876. You can visit ACNJ's website at www.acnj.org for more info.

All my best to everyone who is weathering their respective battles!

I am going to get a copy right away! Thanks for finding this

I found the manual online at www.kidlaw.org . It is in a PDF file and I read it with Adobe Acrobat. There is also a manual called "A Basic Guide to the NJ Court Process for Resource Families."

I'll order one too. I've received other mailiings from them - informative.

To all foster parent advocates: keep pressing on for what you believe is right.
