For those of you who have gone through Just Babies to fost/adopt did you have to go to ALL 8 training sessions?
I'm just asking because I'd really like to go to the September sessions but possibly won't be able to make the last one.

Also for those of you who have gone can you tell me in detail what the sessions involve.

I did not go through just babies..however, I was told that if you can't make a session you can make it up. Call and ask Pat about what to do.

All training sessions have to be taken in order to complete the course. But, if there is a conflict in your schedule with one of the dates, then there are make-up sessions available to you. Just contact your worker.

I just finished the sessions. Each class has a different theme, like attachment, discipline, etc. They have a guest speaker or 2 come to each class. Some are parents who have adopted who tell about their experiences, we had a CASA and social worker come too. There are some short videos, but otherwise the guest speakers take up the majority of the classes. I thought the classes went really fast.

My dh and I missed the last class because we had a planned vacation and we were going away. We took the last class, when we returned from vacation, at another location. Because of this we never received our certificate. No matter how hard our sw tried she was never able to get it. So far it has been ok that they entered the completion date in the computer. Good Luck!
