After taking our 1 little angel in as a foster child back in August, we have said no countless times to other children. We decided we had our hands full with just 1 21 month old child

Then Friday the phone rang and they called with a 7 month old baby boy. Both of us said yes- surprisingly we were both on the same page. He went home yesterday.

Life is funny, I never thought I'd be doing foster care and certainly never thought I would love it so. Now I can't wait for another child.

As I told one of my friends, doing foster care is addicting. It's like combining bungee jumping with the homey feeling that warm apple pie with ice cream evokes.

I realized how very few people there are that do this and how many kids need love I guess. My husband and I have love to share so I figure we should

That warm fuzzy feeling is great. Short-term placements are great too. We love short-term, because it really seems like a vacation for children, and the honeymoon period is all you have to deal with.

I don't know if I'd consider it addicting. Maybe fun sometimes, other times grueling (but that's mostly dealing with bioparents and a broken system).

I'm sure you phone will ring again and again. Although it's been pretty quiet here for about a week now. But then there are those days where the phone rings 10 times, LOL.
