We took PATH classes in April-May, and had home study done after that, our agency ( Just babies) came to our home so about 3 weeks ago DYFS got our file.
One lady (Mary a supervisor) calls me few days later to make an apt, to come inspect my home, I told her that I had to check with my DH and would call her back next day, when I did, I got a message on her machine that she was on vacation to leave a message, so I told her that this Friday may be a possibility but that we can talk about it when she called me back.
Had not heard from her again.
Well today another person from DYFS calls me ( very, very nice guy) to tell me that he cannot come to the apt we had today but can we reschedule. We did and like I said he was nice and is working around our scheduled which is grear but....
How can they think we have an apt. without talking to me about it first. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

So we made an apt for next week at 7 pm , I also told him about our vacation plans in August which I just made this week because I had not heard from them and figured they were dragging their feet why not goon vacation.
We have a bio daughter and my mom who takes care of her and we all deserve to get away.
Do you think that this will look like we are not serious about foster/adopt?
Has anyone had a vacation while going through foster/adopt liscensing?
