AFTH buddies

Hello - I thought I might start a thread for those of us here who have gone through AFTH. I know that I have spoken with a bunch of you on separate occasions and it's always nice to hear from people that are using the same agency and going through the same process. Just a thought that this might be a nice "support" group a place to get advice on this specific process. Hope all is well with you all!

Hi! I'm just starting out. I having been doing alot of research and attended AFTH meeting this past Wed at the Allentown PA office. How did you decide which agency? There are so many to choose from. How did the process go so far with AFTH?

I would greatly appreciate any advice you can offer me. Please feel free to PM me if you prefer.

Hi There Everyone! It's so good to hear from you. I just noticed all of your replies. Yahoo for you for finishing your videos and profile meeting! Are you all officially the books??? You must be so thrilled and excited

! What happened with us has just be so wonderful. We still look at each other in disbelief. I can't believe Nicholas has only been home 5 weeks. It seems like it's been years. He's so good and so sweet. Here are a few pictures from him yesterday. Please stay in touch and let me know how things are doing with you. I can't wait to hear that you all have similar stories!!!!

He is a cutie Jenn!! I love the curly hair!

Our profiles are ALMOST done.. just gotta add a few captions and I should have them sent in this week... I didn't realize making 15 of these things would require so much work! And.. we like the profiles that we saw with each picture seperate instead of a copy (I blame Chris for that) so that is the way we did it and it's a lot more work, lol.. oh well.. it should all be worth it in the end!

How about everyone else... did ya get your profiles in yet??

Hi Tammy,
The profile is shockingly difficult....deciding on the right pictures, getting everyone's opinion, writing the letter, etc... I finally finalized our pictures yesterday and am planning to get all 15 of our profiles done this weekend for mailing on Tuesday...I'll let you know how I make out!

It seems very surreal to me that we will finally be "on the books"! We go through such an arduous process and now it seems odd to just wait.....good luck to us all!

Hi all, We just went to the AFTH informational meetings on domestic adoption and I think we are going to move forward with them. I have not seen any other agencies that I have liked, would you mind sharing why you went with AFTH?
